Ellangton

Ella Burkhardt first stepped into the spotlight at just fifteen, making her debut at the renowned Jazz Baltica Festival in 2017. What began as a precocious leap into the world of live music quickly became a steady artistic journey defined by curiosity, versatility, and an unmistakable vocal presence.

Since then, she has brought her sound to a wide range of stages and projects — moving fluidly between soft indie folk, traditional jazz and alternative rock. Her performances are marked by a poetic sensitivity and a deep musical instinct, no matter the genre.

In June 2024, Ella graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Vocals from the Conservatory of Maastricht (Netherlands). That same year, she recorded her first live album as part of a rare analog-focused project: a fully tape-recorded, non-digital release produced at the legendary Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg (Germany) and featuring Nils Landgren.

The record is available exclusively on vinyl and can be purchased at live shows or ordered online.

Ella & Kjell (ft. Ingolf

Burkhardt)

Apart from her solo career, Ella is involved in many other projects and bands. One of them is a duo with guitarist Kjell Kitzing, with whom she has shared many stages since 2015. Meeting in high school, the two connected over the shared passion for 1960s folk and jazz music.

Whether it’s harmonised folk songs, Swedish folklore or traditional jazz standards, the two bring an energy to the stage that has matured through 10 years of musical experience together.

In 2024, renowned trumpet player (& father) Ingolf Burkhardt joined the duo. View scheduled concerts here.
